Je repars pour un shooting avec Cathy et ses tenues d'époque '50 - '60. Cette fois, nous allons en ville.

I'm off again for a shoot with Cathy and her 50s-60s period outfits. This time, we're going into town.

Pour cette photo, je trouve que l'arrière plan présente une dominante pas du tout favorable à la mise en valeur du sujet.

The square format has an advantage, as already explained previously: it can be changed to a rectangle. This can be useful when the background has a dominant color that is not at all favorable to highlighting the subject.

Vous me direz que j'aurais pu cadrer autrement à la prise de vue. Je ne voulais pas voir la fin du mur à gauche. J'aurais pu déplacer le modèle vers la droite. Oui mais je ne l'ai pas fait.

You might say I could have framed the shot differently. I didn't want to see the end of the wall on the left. I could have moved the model to the right. Yes, but I didn't.
